The AHC30616 Certificate III in Production Horticulture is a nationally recognised qualification covering the skills and knowledge relating to the horticulture industry such as maintaining plants, treating pests and diseases, landscaping and drainage systems.

Core offers all students the opportunity to obtain recognition of their existing skills and knowledge gained through their relevant job experience. This means you only train in areas that you are not currently familiar with and can reduce the duration of your course significantly.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however it is recommended you have basic knowledge of horticultural principles.

Some training is conducted in the classroom where students will develop their theoretical knowledge and also at nurseries where students will undertake practical projects in a variety of settings as well as self directed learning at home.

Students learn in smaller classroom sizes and activities are designed so that students can take what they have learnt and apply to it a workplace straight away.
