COURSE DESCRIPTION


The CPC20712 Certificate II in Drainage is designed for those currently working in the plumbing, building and construction industry as unqualified drainers.  This course provides a pathway to obtain a tradespersons licence as a qualified drainer.

Core offers this course via an “assessment only” model, which means we only assess your existing skills and knowledge.  Applicants will need to demonstrate prior to enrolment that they already hold all of the required skills and knowledge relating to the course requirements by completing a self assessment.

Students will generally have been working for a minimum of two years in order to be able to validate your ability to undertake the range of drainage tasks required.

Over 77% of students who complete this course are employed or go onto further study.

Course Fees

Fees for this course/assessment: $2,500.

Delivery

We structure the course to fit in with our students busy work schedule and geographical location.  Our trainer will work with you to complete your portfolio of work as well as undertake a competency discussion with you (online or over the phone). You will also need to provide references from current and previous employers.

You will also be required to provide us with a copy of your white card (or equivalent) as well as completion of the unit HLTFA211A (or equivalent).

The RPL assessments are designed for those people currently working within the plumbing, building and construction industry as drainers and want to be assessed for the qualification based on their current experience and skill levels.

To attain recognition, you will need to present evidence that shows you can satisfy the requirements of the qualification.

You will be issued with an RPL Assessment Manual that will detail how the assessment will take place. In brief, the assessment will consist of workplace visits and observations and participating in conversations with your assessor where you will discuss your knowledge of the different aspects of the trade.
